Jackie Zhou 29th Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium 2024

Jackie Zhou

Jackie is a PhD Candidate at the University of Sydney researching the role of type 2 diabetes-related non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (aka metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease) in the pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Under the primary supervision of Dr Melanie White, he will be using a pre-clinical model of type two diabetes, multi-omics, and bioinformatics to explore the multi-organ crosstalk between the heart and liver. During his doctoral studies, Jackie aims to establish strategic interventions that significantly improve cellular energetics in the diabetic setting.
